Whole cornish hens with giblets, sized 24.0 - 32.0 oz, are individually bagged, heat sealed and shrunk. Two (2) bagged hens are overwrapped with clear film and sealed. Product is packed eight (8) twin packs per case and shipped frozen.

PRODUCT HANDLING:

  • Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave.
  • Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash work surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry.
  • Cook thoroughly.

  • PREPARATION & COOKING:

    Approximate cooking times:
    Thaw first, following directions on package. Rinse inside and out; pat dry.
    BAKE: Season hen inside and out. Roast @ 350ºF for approximately 1 hour. If stuffing, roast approximately 1 hour 15 minutes until done. Hen is done when internal temperature reaches 180ºF and juices run clear.
    GRILL OR BROIL: Split hen. Season to taste. Grill or broil hen 5-6 inches from heat source for 35-45 minutes until thoroughly cooked. Turn and baste occasionally during cooking. Hen is done when internal temperature reaches 180ºF and juices run clear.
